New Teams Required
The League is looking to expand and
new Teams are invited to apply to the League Secretary
Address etc on League Officers Page
or through the link on Home Page
Referee’s Course
Please note that a course for new referees is to be held on the
11th April 2010 with follow up dates on the 25th April 2010, 2nd
May 2010 and the 9th May 2010. The new course now incorporates a
Child Protection course and a CRB check and once it has been completed
and the required numbers of games have been officiated you are refunded
up to 33% of your course fee. Once again all clubs are requested
to send along at least one representative. This is to ensure the
future of YOUR league. With the increase in numbers in our league
we are currently in a situation where referees are in very short
supply. We, as a league, are asking for the support of our clubs
to help us address this problem. Most teams have players who are
coming to the end of their playing careers and who wish to stay
involved with the game. These very people could be the future of
our league. If you, or anyone that you know is interested, then
please put you’re your name forward for the course. For further
details please contact Dave Powell on 01244 322272.
Your support is urgently required.
Union Vaults- Resigned
Please be advised that Union Vaults have resigned from the league.
Their record has been expunged from the league tables.
Referee’s Information
Referees are respectfully reminded that Liam Power is the Referee
Appointments Secretary for the Chester & District Football League.

please contact the League Secretary, Paul Graham, for advice. Thank
you for your support in this matter.

Letter to all from League Secretary
Dear Clubs
Would all clubs please note the following rule 10(d):
(A) The Secretary of the home Club must give notice in writing
of full particulars of the location of, and access to, the ground
and time of kick-off to the Secretary of the opposing Club at least
THREE clear days prior to the playing of the match. (A phone call
will suffice)
Any Club failing to comply with this Rule shall be liable to a fine
of £25.
On the back of ALL fixtures are handbook amendments
which have been made through out the season, i.e., change of colours,
change of ground, change of phone numbers and changes to Secretaries
etc. During the past 8 weeks there have been several instances of
teams turning up at the wrong ground or with out a change of colours
because they claim they did not know any different.
As a result of this it has been decided that the above
rule will be adhered to in circumstances where clubs fail to inform
their opponents of any changes that results in any kind of delay
to kick off. As has already been stated all handbook amendments
are on the back pages of these fixtures, where other important information
is given. Please read it.
If you have any questions regarding this matter please
don’t hesitate to contact me.
Best Regards
Paul Graham
Hon Secretary
Chester & District Football League

Special Notices
Please check whether your opponents have moved pitches. If you
are unsure please contact the league secretary.
Any team playing at Hoole Park is asked to ensure that all entrances
to the ground are kept clear of parked vehicles and that all vehicles
are parked in the car park provided on site. This is to ensure safe
and easy access to any emergency services vehicle to the ground
that may be required.
Can all club secretaries please check that the information in the
league handbook relating to your clubs is correct and please inform
the league secretary of any errors or omissions.
All clubs are reminded that money or any articles of value should
not be left in any club changing rooms. The home teams will not
be responsible for any lost items. It is also advisable that any
players who have been injured or substituted and wishing to get
changed prior to the end of the match should be accompanied to the
changing rooms by a responsible member of his club. This should
solve any mis-understandings that may arise. Thank you for your
assistance in this matter.
Please be aware that all teams must give at least 6 weeks notice
of any free date that they require.
Management Meetings
The date of the first League Management meeting will be Thursday
3rd September 2009.

of the clubs to ensure that the officials are paid in this way.
Failure to comply will result in a £25 fine.
Players Registration Forms
Can all teams please ensure that they have their player’s
registration forms to Wayne Kinnear by the 8th August 2009. Failure
to do so will result in a fine and your clubs inability to play.
Thanks for your cooperation in this matter.
Reporting Results
The Secretary must receive within 5 days of the date played, the
result of each Competition match in the prescribed manner. This
must include forename(s) and surname of the team players (in block
letters) and also the Referee markings required be Rule 13, or any
other information required by the Competition. Failure to do so
will incur a fine of £25 and/or the Club being dealt with
as the Management Committee decides.
The Home Club shall telephone the result of each match
to the Press Secretary by 5pm or by
9pm for evening games. A fine of £25 will be imposed for failure
to comply.
The match result notification, correctly completed, shall be signed
by a responsible member of the Club. This will then be sent to the
League Secretary along with your opponents Team Sheet that was exchanged
prior to Kick Off. The Management Committee shall have power to
take such action, as they deem suitable against a Club, which submits
an incomplete form or incorrect information.
Each Club shall provide a list of names of players taking part
in the game (including the names of nominated substitutes) to the
Referee and a representative of their opponents in the presence
of the Referee and at least TEN minutes before the scheduled time
of the kick off. Players named on the list must wear the corresponding
numbered shirt in the game, and also be named correctly on the Match
Report Form required under paragraph (A). Each part of the triplicate
form must be distributed as instructed on the sheets and in accordance
with the rules. Clubs who turn up on match day without their result
book will be fined £25. Any lost or stolen books must be replaced
at a cost of £25. In the event that a club attends a fixture
without their result book they must use a triplicate form from the
back of their opponents book and direct the copies in the prescribed
manner.
Respect
We all have a responsibility to promote high standards of behaviour
in the game.
Players tell us they want a referee for every match, yet 7,000 match
officials drop out each season because of the abuse and intimidation
they receive on and off the pitch. Respect your referee today and
you may just get one for every match this season.
Play your part and observe The FA's Respect Code of Conduct for
players at all times.
On and off the field, you must:
1. Adhere to the Laws of the Game
2. Display and promote high standards of behaviour
3. Promote fair play and behave within the spirit of the Laws of
the Game
4. Always respect the match officials' decisions
5. Never engage in public criticism of the match officials
6. Never engage in offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour
7. Avoid bullying, intimidation and poor behaviour
8. Speak to my teammates, the opposition and my coach/manager with
respect
9. Ask my team captain to talk to the referee if I have a problem
relating to the game
10. Remember we all make mistakes
11. Shake hands with the opponents and the match officials at the
Start and Finish of every game.
All clubs must also be aware of the
9pm – 9am curfew for contacting league officers; this also
applies to text messages.
